Length: 30 seconds Title: Youth Week We open on a velvet theatre curtains. A spot light moves up and around as we hear a drum roll. Voice Over: The youth of Australia present… The drum roll stops with ‘Ting’ and the spot light stops on a youth member holding a microphone, they will be our MC for the CSA. They say: Voice Over: …National Youth Week two thousand and eight. SFX: Clapping The curtains draw open behind the MC revealing two youth members on stage playing soccer with a NYW cog. Our MC says: Voice Over: Get involved in Australia’s largest celebration of young people. One of the soccer players kicks the cog-ball towards the MC, who ducks out of frame. Our MC says: Voice Over: With heaps of events right around Australia… We cut to see 3 youth members. One is holding a microphone, another guitar and the 3rd has a drum kit. They are energetically playing. When singer opens his mouth musical notes and NYW cogs shoot into the air. Our MC says: Voice Over: Including our National Talent Competitions. So Rock it… We cut to see a girl writing at a desk. She looks frustrated. A cog rolls past her, her eyes light up and she starts feverishly writing. Our MC pops back into frame and says: Voice Over: …write it… The writer and her desk quick gets pulled out of frame, two other members walk in and start painting the back of the stage. Our MC youth member pops back into view holding an video camera and says: Voice Over: ...shoot it, design it… the MC pops out of view before the painters exits screen and two other Youth Members enter the stage and start acting out a play, dressed up in costume. In the foreground Our MC pops up holding an still camera and says: Voice Over: …or snap it to win. SFX: Clapping The MC takes a photo, and with the ‘click’ and ‘whir’ and a white flash, we wipe the screen. Voice Over: For more information visit youthweek.com. A photo appears on screen. It is visually similar to the NYW poster, it’s black and contains the following information; youthweek.com, the NYW logo, the dates (April 5-13), the headline- Shout, Share, Live, Unite and all the NYW cogs, bar one.
